HAPPY THANKSGIVING! I'M THANKFUL FOR YOU!

While everyone is busy getting ready for Turkey Day '06, I would like to take a moment to tell all of you, my loyal customers, how thankful I am for each and every one of you! It has been a good year and I have gotten to enjoy talking with some of you over the phone or seeing you at my craft show booth! And for those that I never speak to or meet in person, I am thankful for you too. My prayer for each of you is that the mottos that you have purchased from Sage Stitchworks will be a blessing to you and your family - and the homes of the friends and family you choose to bless your stitchings with as well! Time for school again already?!
The fall craft fairs are almost upon us.

We have had an extremely busy year - it has literally flown by! I do not even know where the summer went but here we are....back in school again and getting ready for the fall craft shows in October.

Due to a scheduling conflict, we will only be showing in Springdale at the NWA Convention Center (next to the Holiday Inn), October 20th & 21st, 2006. Hopefully we will be able to attend An Affair of the Heart again in 2007 - if they change the weekend back to the last weekend in October. We will miss seeing the OKC folks this year but you can still shop with us online on our secure server and receive your mottos by Priority Mail.

For my Northwest Arkansas "War Eagle Weekend" customers: We will have some new mottos on display so be sure to stop by our booth at the NWA Convention Center to see them and say, "hello!" Follow your nose to our booth - we're right next to the cinnamon nuts!

Everyone take care getting back into the swing of school schedules and get ready for the fall stitching season! Christmas is just around the corner.

It is hard to believe Christmas Day is SO close! Only 9 days! Just a reminder that if you want to receive your mottos by Christmas Eve, I really need to get them in the mail by this Thursday, December 22nd (so that Priority Mail has 3 days to deliver). Place your final Christmas orders as soon as possible to ensure a timely delivery!

A source for those wonderful antique

criss-cross frames you keep asking for!

For those of you who have inquired about the antique criss-cross frames that I frame some of my mottos with, (and believe me - I get a LOT of these inquires!) I am including a link to a search on ebay that should give you a nice selection to choose from. Most of the ones listed will be suitable for framing the 8"x10" size mottos but every once in a while you will find one that will fit the 8.5"x21" mottos. These frames are hard to find so you might want to check back often as the inventory of the auction will be continually changing.

This is probably the best source for finding these wonderful old frames at this time.

Tip: Good search words to use are: "Adirondack Frame", "Black Forest Frame", "Criss-Cross Frame", Cross Bar Frame", "Eastlake Frame" and "Tramp Art Frame".

Fall Has Arrived! Time to get stitching for Christmas!

Wow! I cannot believe that we are already heading into the Holiday Season in just a couple of weeks. Don't worry, there is still time to get those Christmas gift mottos ordered and stitched for your loved ones before Christmas.

It was great seeing so many of our repeat customers at the Fall Craft Shows these past few weekends, and to make and meet many new ones. It is such an encouragement when you tell us how much you have enjoyed stitching your kits and how easy it was for you to pick up and learn to do. It is always our prayer that they will be a blessing to you as you stitch them and to your family and friends as you display them in your home.

I completely stitched a new motto during last weekend's show and hope to have it online soon. (I told you this punched paper embroidery stitches fast! Try that with cross-stitch or needlepoint!) Be looking for "Live Well, Laugh Often, Love Much" before the end of this year. Our other mottos in the works are "Praise God from Whom All Blessings Flow" and "The Fruit of The Spirit". Those should be out in the first quarter of 2006.

Tip: A great way to frame your victorian motto sampler inexpensively is to look for a horizontal or vertical print in a pretty frame (at stores like T.J. Maxx or Tuesday Morning) and then remove the print and use the frame. Use brown craft paper and a gluestick to re-finish the back of the frame. We have framed some of our mottos beautifully for under $20 using this method!
